UPDOG Studios is a hot power yoga studio—but don’t let that scare you—you are about to experience the most amazing yoga practice that is going to leave you feeling strong, mindful, flexible and relaxed. Our community of welcoming students will fast become your favorite place to be!

Our classes are all levels—this means precisely you are encouraged to go at your own pace. We encourage this if you have been practicing for one year, one decade, or one day. Each day is different, and your practice will feel different depending on many factors like hydration, nutrition, sleep, current activity level. Yoga is a practice not a perfect. It’s a journey and not a destination—it takes time—give it time!

FAQs

Do I have to join the studio to participate?

No.  We recommend everyone starts with our 2 weeks of unlimited classes so that you have time to try out the different class types, teachers and meet other members of the community.  You can of course pay drop-in by the class too.  Our best offer is our unlimited class membership.

What class should I take first?

You can take any class on the schedule as a new student—all classes are all levels. If you are brand new we recommend our UPDOG SLOW or UPDDOG INTENSE.  Slow is our power series taught in a slower format with no heat.  Our intense series—we kind of giggle telling you to start with an INTENSE class—but this class is all standing sequences.  UPDOG INTENSE does not flow from posture to posture—it is a standing series were postures are head by breath count—so you can opt into or out of the length of the posture hold. Variations of all postures are offered.

What time to arrive?

The studio opens 15 minutes prior to all classes—Please arrive early! The Studio door is locked one minute prior to class starting—arrive early, if the door is locked—we will see you next time.

Class Cancellations

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 6 hours in advance to avoid $15 fee late cancel, no-show fees.

What should I wear?

It might seem like you should wear loose baggy clothing right!?—Nope! Wear Athletic Apparel that is fitted and wicks away moisture.

What do I need to bring?

Mat, Towel and Water bottle always.

What do I do if I am confused in class?

Every single student in class with you— was you.  There will be times when you are hot, tired, or done.  Feel free to take any resting posture, or to lay down on your mat, and start back up when it serves you.  Remember Savasana is a posture—and you will see many students take that throughout class.
